Going Local events focusing on the different aspects of the Digital Single Market (DSM) took place on several occasions in France.
A representative of the Commission presented the DSM strategy to around 200 young entrepreneurs at the Web2Day in Nantes between 3-5 June.
On 10 June, Khalil Rouhana, Director for Components and Systems at DG Connect, took part in a conference on digital economy, organised by the French Parliament. The focus of the discussions was on digital opportunities ahead and France' capacity to benefit from them. Participants included digital stakeholders and members of parliament and senate.
Going Local gives participants the opportunity to have a say in the development of the European Digital Single Market (DSM) strategy and for us to get a better understanding of national and local digital realities.
Senior European Commission staff members organise the Going Local events together with the Commission Representation in your country and the Digital Champion. Sometimes Commissioners working with aspects of the Digital Single Market are also involved.
