On Friday 14 November, BEUC is organising a conference entitled 'Towards sustainable consumption: Durable goods and legal guarantees'.
The conference brings together consumer representatives, product manufacturers, innovative producers and EU policy-makers to discuss product durability, planned obsolescence and EU policies such as legal guarantees and Ecodesign.
Its objective is to discuss the numerous obstacles which prevent consumers from long-term use of products such as problems enforcing the legal 2-year guarantee or complicated product repair.
