Its members are both regional trade associations like CEFIC or the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association, and also national associations including the American Chemistry Council.

ICCA is the steward of Responsible Care, a voluntary scheme to improve chemical safety among its members. Responsible Care had been launched by the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada in 1985. At the 2006 International Conference on Chemicals Management, Responsible Care was extended through a Global Product Strategy and a Global Charter.

P.s: Dans le commerce international, on évitera de vendre auX plus naïfs et auX plus vulnérables des produits toXiques ou à base de produits toXiques ou portant à controverse... comme les boissons énergisantes entre autres, vendues complaisamment auX jeunes consommateurs en Hollande et ailleurs. Des pilules pour les personnes très âgées qui veulent se tuer seraient également mises sur le marché par la ministre de la Santé et au Bien-être, madame Edith Schippers. Les Néerlandais apprécient-ils tout cela? Que disent les Constitutions au chapitre du CARE et des responsabilités pour les responsables auX postes les plus élevés, parfois plus que correctement rémunés. Certains sont à la retraite mais continuent d'engranger les bénéfices.
