Privacy...

Privacy, A very Short Introduction by Raymond Wacks, Oxford University Press, 2010.

Privacy is a fundamental value that is under siege from several quarters. Electronic surveillance, biometrics, CCTV, ID cards, RFID codes, online security, the interception of email, the monitoring of employees, and the uses and abuses of DNA - to name but a few - all raise fundamental questions about our privacy.

This Very Short Introduction examines these and other controversial issues. It also analyzes the tension between free speech and privacy, as expemplified by intrusive journalism, photography and the unsolicited disclosure fo the private lives of celebrities.

Professor Raymond Wacks provides an accessible, jargon-free introduction to the many facets of the misuse, and the protection, of personal information.

C'est ce que je lis, je retranscris. C'est sur la protection de la vie privée. Qui fait quoi? Qui protège les mineurs et la jeunesse en particulier? Les parents bien sûr, mais encore?... Corporate social responsibility & Code of conduct. Accountability too.
