The Hague's reputation as the 'international city of Peace and Justice' is founded on its eXtraordinary contributions to the development amd implementation of international law. Many of the international justice mechanisms it hosts, such as the International Court of Justice (ICJ), International Criminal Court (IC) and International Criminal Tribunal for the forme Yugoslavia (ICTY) are well known. Yet their mandates, activities and the challenges they face are not Always well understood by a GLOBAL audience.
